AHHH all i get is run arounds and i have to type up this crap that i have no idea wth it is and argh. You owuld think they would have a pre typed paper and all i would have to do is fill in the blanks ............

Ok listen up! There is something you MUST achieve here! You must find a way to tell the court EVERYTHING this means to you. You must demonstrate everything you have done to make being a Dad work for you and your child.

They drown you in forms, but you have to find a way to make those forms work for you... to tell the Judge YOUR story.

Don't lose sight of the ONLY goal here:

" i just want to see Gabe."

Stay calm, skip nothing, go step by step, do everything they ask and do it better than they ask it of you. Your in the hands of the institution.

Don't expect them to be altogether human, but don't forget to appeal with all of your heart to all of their heart.

Fatherhood, no easy path. My very best wishes.

Argh, mumbo jumbo indeed. Sorry mate, you have to jump through THEIR hoops. Again! All you want to do is see your son. All the lawyers want is to make their money. Do you need to ask a lawyer how to fill in this mohuncher of a document? If so, prolly be a good idea.

A good lawyer should charge you a ~~reasonable~~ amount to walk you through the form you need to fill out, or do it for you. I seriously doubt that you want to pay for any more lawyering, but you HAVE worked your butt off for months. Don't just scribble something on to this form.

Argh you have no idea...... i went in to ask what else i needed to do they hand me a paper that makes no sense and then they tell me thats all i can do for you later.

Eep, what a rip! OTOH, all things considered maybe it's worth paying for one or two hours of this greedhead's time? I know it's REALLY unfair, no argument at all. Yet we are talking about something that's VERY important to you. After you are able to see your son on a regular basis, it may well be worth this extortion?

Truth is, I have yet to deal with anything like an honest lawyer. Now I don't even hope to. Now I hope the pig on the other side is as lazy and incompetent as the one representing me and than the judge is sober/straight/ and unrelated to either lawyer...Then I hope I'm the only one who came armed....":O}

So, it's unlikely you'll do better by changing lawyers, I NEVER did!
So, if you pay, 50/50 he still won;t do the work or do it so badly that he may as well stayed home.

so, if you don't pay, he certainly won't do the work, but may work it into his hours just the same.

Go to Legal Aid. Para legals who are paid on a per form basis. They will at lest make sure you fill the forms out correctly or you can sue and lawyers love suing para legals, they know this! They have done good work for several people I know.

Remember this experience! Never get involved with the legal system! They are spiteful idiots! If it was anything but your son, I'd say just walk away.

As it is, I wish you the very of luck and hope you stumble by accident upon a just ruling.

i think i found a loop hole thing.....

Ok im crazy remember this BUT if i stop paying child support and get a warrant for my arrest i go in front of a child support judge aka visit judge :P So i speak my case in front of that dip **** and well lets say it wont be pleasant what iu habve to say about his legal syustem and demand visitation or we will be h\meeting every other day til i do. Yes i realise i will spend time in jail but its the easy route

The problem with that is it may take a year for the warrant to be issued. I stopped paying when my kids were with me. There were many phone calls and nothing ever filled on paper. Kids went back, I started paying through MN. Indiana took almost a year to file a contempt order. I show up in court and show them that I am paying. They look confused. The courts suck. I am now trying to get payment stopped because my daughter is 18 and out of school. No one wants to take ownership. I am told I have to go through Louisiana, or Minnesota, or Indiana, when I call the other state. I feel your pain. I have held off going to a lawyer for the same issues listed here. I have contacted legal aid to see if they can point me in the right direction.

Above all else remember these people have zero tolerance for "variations within the form" They really aren't very smart people, really! they aren't!
Do not confuse them or they will make you pay!
Just do what they want untill you can get free of them, they have power and you do not. You have much at stake and they do not....beginning to see why the lawyers always win?

Then getting theses forms right is the cost. Jumping thought any completely humiliating hoops they ask you to is your job No#1 now.

Bury pride and resentment in the deepest pit you can find.

Never for a single moment forget that you just "want to see Gabe again" and you will have a chance to have a chance... best wishes.
