Thanks all for your kind words.

I am feeling much better. It is still a little surreal that this even happened. I have quite a bit of pain a swelling but everyday brings me closer. I am due to head back to work on Mon the 18th. The first few weeks will be a challenge as it is difficult to walk or stand for any period of time. Right now I am trying to spend as much time as possible off of my feed to allow the healing process to continue.

Sorry I have not popped in and wished you well, it's been getting quite serious with my Dad and I haven't been up to the task of typing from the heart.

I am wishing a quick recovery for you Sam. Now I am off to the hospital to spend time with my Dad..

Then we have every reason to hope for your full recovery and shall let nothing keeps us from that hope.

Your on the right track Sam, nothing heal us like rest once the storm has passed.

You must be about done in Cliff! Between your shop work with your Dad gone and your having care for both...

I hope you can get a breather and rest a bit. You won't be of much use to your family if you grind yourself to far down...Blessings...

Great to hear that the surgery results are hopeful. I hope that the 18th isn't too soon, but I know that you have to get some work done too. Did the Dr. recommend any kind of light exercise regimen?

And Cliff; make sure you do what Daniel says and get a breather once in awhile-I'm sure it'll help your dad's attitude if he sees that you are taking care of yourself.

First day back to work. I am actually doing pretty good. More ache than real pain. I will see how it goes as the day wears on. I am more worried about becoming tired more than anything else.

I need all the encouragement i can get. I am very tired to say the least but overall I am good. It is good to be back to some sort of normalcy. i am not one for sitting around and felt my sanity slipping away. I cannot yet drive by Dr. orders so I am car pooling. One more positive aspect. I did have to change back to the milder meds so I can function in the work place.

Thanks again all of you. It is good to know I can find so many friends (family) in one place.

I am doing OK. Not healing as fast as I thought or hoped. I still have a hard time getting up when lying down. The morning suck pretty much. Everyday seems a little better. At least I do not walk like I have a stick up my butt any more. LOL. I am supposed to start PT next week. I tried to stop the pain meds and thought I was going to die. Maybe in a week or more I can lay off.

I am ready to be better. I have many things to do.
