Benchies Update

Well, I installed the XG 76.41 drivers and 50400 in Aquamark3! Everything set to default. Card overclocked to 540/1 gig got 53590. CSS runs smoother too. Need a Zalman cooler or something now for both CPU and GPU. Just wish I had your card XeroHour.

Albatron 6800GT 256MB AGP running a 6800GT Ultra Extreme bios. and dont ask me for a copy of the bios because i dont have a copy any more, and have looked high and low for one. Rest assured if it turns up i will post it on AOAFiles. I took my card and flashed it the day i got it, which pumped the core and memory voltages up by .1V, then i took off the cooler lapped it. More recently i took it to the shoemaker / keymakers "Mr. Minit" (sic) where i got my GPU cooler perfectly lapped to a mirror finish with a belt polisher covered in arctic silver 5. 9/10 times, when it comes to GPU cooling its your thermal interface material and area of contact that is the problem more than the cooler itself. the Nvidia 6800GT coolers are very good. They just need a little help.

By the way, Xero, im sure you can find an Ultra BIOS for your card at least. The ultra bios gives you an extra 0.05V to core and ram, and actually does make a difference.

at stock, out of the box, mine did 435/1.2, but it wasnt until i flashed it that i got the higher clock speeds down.

I ran an ultra bios which was voltmodded(did it myself with a hexeditor) and the card just plain doesn't play well with voltage, it goes purple and black checkboard mode on me when I have it volt modded. A damn shame too becuase when I had the volts it autodetected to 450/1280 or something like that, that was when it was running at 26 degrees too though. Maybe I'll try again sometime, but its so fast now I don't have the desire.

Thanks Dsio. So busy with the family and not enough time to tinker with the new system.
I have to oc the cpu, so if anyone has any ideas on ocing this 3000+ winchester, please post some suggestions. Much different than my old 1700+ thoroughbred core.
