Toast

ive just found a small application called toast it only 268kb.
as far as i can tell it just keeps running cycles until ur pc shuts down or bursts into flames!

has anyone heard of this b4 or use it much?

It's good when you want to see the max temp your CPU will hit. Start this application and monitor the temps...this should give you a pretty good idea about your cooling system.

if it was left running would my pc burst into flames if the temp shutdown was turned off?

No...don't worry, it's like Prime95 if you're more familiar with it -> Torture Test -> Maximum Heat. It's an alternative method to see the range of max temps of your CPU. If usually you see 50C at load...than with this program you'll see the same temps. It's just a little quicker to heat the CPU.

Can it display the cpu temp? that would be pretty cool i wouldn't mind knowing how mine would go under pressure for a long period of time.

Nope. But you have plenty of tools to do that..Everest, PcProbe (for Asus mobos), USDM (for Epox mobos), PcWizard2005, SpeedFan and others.
