X1900XT and AM2 4600+ AquaMark3 scores!!

See attachments.

The first picture is when both my CPU and graphics card were at stock.

The second when the CPU was knocked up to 2.65ghz.

And, after that, I thought I'd do a third benchmark, with my X1900XT's fan on full rev. Apart from sounding like a wrecked lawnmower, the benchmarks were hardly affected. Ergo, speeding up the graphics card fan didn't have an effect on benchmarks.

Take a look anyway. I wanna break the 90,000 mark. Any help on how I could do so?

Instead of speeding up the fan, perhaps you can speed up the GFX card clockspeed?

Driver tweaks, overclocking.....

Increasing your fan speed never effects performance unless your GPU is overheating.

Heh, yeah, I forgot to mention that I was planning on overclocking graphics card later on today.

Apart from that, anything else? I have the latest drivers, and all.

Anything else, peoples?

hmm that seems very slow for an x1900xt try setting the drivers to max performance rather than max quality, as well this is my x1900xt (@stock) and well thats just about 50% faster

Whoa, that's a massive difference.

I'll see what I can do about the drivers.

Thanks for that, keithwalton!

How about one lonely and lowly little 7900GT Card that is trying to get by in this cruel world. But, that is possessed!!!!!

And has a Little Allendale jammed half way up it's **s pushing it like never before!!

Hey Keith which driver set are you using? I HAD GOOD LUCK WITH THE 6.2's.
I don't use the CCC either as it was too slow and used too many system resources.
I use ATI tool tray and just the driver that is it.

You guys are having a laugh. Makes my score look pathetic...

On High performance, score is 91,426
On Max performace, score is 91,627.

Is your gfx card at stock, WZ? Cuz that's some amazing score if it is.

Not Stock.

Still at stock it is a real rocket. 142,943 @ Stock. but hey this is your thread. Which cats are you running Raphael? I have another system with a X850XT AGP card in it. With that system I have always found it best NOT to use the Catalyst Control Center I load only the Cats I want to try and use ATI tool tray. You should get more out of that card I believe.
Keep fiddling with it

WZ

you know I was just going over some old scores of mine and I think your vid card scores are actually quite good, your cpu scores seem way low. I am no expert on AMD by any means. But I would think you should be pushing 13,000 on the cpu score which would also push up your graphics score at the same time. (Higher cpu score = higher graphics too)= higher overall score
you need to tweek your system up as far as it will go and tighten mem timings as tight as possible.
Maybe dave will come along or someone who knows more about your type of system and help you with it more than I can. I am positive you can increase that cpu score. Push til your temps just flat stop you! Good luck Raphael.

Well, I'm gonna run ATi Tool tonight, and get it to find me Max core and memory for me. I'll then do a quick artifact check in the morning before I benchmark.

But thanks for posting your scores. Had you not, I'd have assumed I was doing pretty well! =D But now I know I can get a lot more out of my CPU and graphics. =0
