Sounds to me like AMD whining.

Granted, Intel's SPEC benchmarks are an apples to oranges comparison. However, even when comparing like to like, Intel's Core 2 architecture still outperforms AMD's in many applications, including in the performance/watt arena, at least based on other head-to-head comparisons I've seen.

If you compare AMD and Intel cost-for-cost, then AMD gets pretty close to even on performance, but AMD have had to drastically cut prices to get even that, and performance/watt goes out the window.

Besides, who here has never seen AMD pull a similar stunt with Intel's offerings?
