I would say so!

It's unusual to hear that nowadays. When I emailed Leadtek about the fan on my 6600gt being dead, they just ignored me

I had the same issues with Leadtek. Took weeks to get things straight. When it was over, I emailed them telling them they would never have a piece of hardware in any machine I ever build.

Glad your getting it sorted Daniel. If I were in Seattle, I would have gladly helped you out.

Well since you guys brought it up... I've been really puzzled by what did in my card (7950 GT OC)

So I started thinking about a lose can the card had when it arrived, it was leaning and I just touched it and if fell back into place. when I realized the card was in trouble, I checked, and thought good I can fix this! I touched with my magic finger and it fell back into place!

But the card still wouldn't work! My BEST technique!\Driven by my deepest Video card understandings, the little can was straight and it still wouldn't work! And the card wouldn't run.

So I called BFG and right off I could tell that they were impressed with me!

I told them my little story of the little can on my card that couldn't stand up. I told them of my tenderest concerns for it's health and well being...I may not have actually mentioned I was over volting the GPU and RAM as I have benchmarks that prove the success of those efforts, I was ONLY checking voltages wit a meter when life left it's transistors forever.

I paused to allow the poor man to regain his composure. Which, after a tie, he did.

"Can we have your street address?"

I almost hung up! Why? I'm ashamed to say I think he sensed my hesitation and skipped over the st. addy for the moment.

"I'll send you an RMA by e-mail which you should get in 2-4 hours. Send it to the address you receive and we will send you a replacement."

After that I rebuked myself and gave them the information their data bases craved of me...

Soon to be listed in a forums near you!

7950 GT OC with Koolance Water jacket, a chance at the good life!

(This IS NOT an advertisement in the forums! this is just me pimping my stuff to cover my losses, there's a world of difference...at lest I need to inhabit a different world to even think there's a difference.

Someone have Admin edit this post! (I can't bring myself to do it!)

Daniel are those just standard stand-offs only used with the vid card cooler in this application? If so tell me the length you need I probably have enough laying around here to make them work for you. I would be more than happy to help you out. If If you want to wait for koolance that is cool but. I could get to it right away for you if you tell me the length and if my standoffs will work.

Let me know what you need!

Sorry WZ! Things have been hectic, power supply in my No# 2 Box left this world. RMAing it with it's dead brother. Bought three Noise takers less than a year ago, 2 are dead.. RMA!

Yes thems the ones! I'm going to have to talk some more with Koolance. As you may guess, they are a favorite company of mine, and they seem to have a problem caused by card makers deviating from reference design...as far as I can tell so far, so don't quote me.

Evidently the depth on 8800 GTS varies just enough to make this adjustment necessary and "Individual" for each card of a different producer.

I really appreciate your kind offer and have no doubt you would pull it off for me. But I want to know how they will deal with this beyond me. They are really trying and I don't want to hunt them, but if our readers are going to have to deal with this in using this cooler they should know. So I'm going slow and trying to win their trust and cooperation.

Patti strained her ankle and we had to go south anyway. So We stopped off Friday afternoon. I brought a camera and wanted to do a tour, but most had left for the weekend. But my Tech guy was actually waiting to meet me. We were almost able to do it on the spot, but his manager said they had stuff to they had to get done and asked me back for Saturday, which Patti couldn't make. Should receive it Tues late afternoon.

BTW I have given them no indication That I'm affiliated with AOA, So I would say that any who deal with them politely should receive the same in return. I like their products, coming to like them even more.":O}

I'll try to stay in touch...not use to using Patti's machine! ":O}

Sorry no spell check! ":O}
Installed Spell check on Patti's box, some things ya can't live without! ":O}

I have been impressed so far with Koolance's handling of the situation, especially since learning they do not know of your AOA affiliation.

It lends a lot of credibility to a company when you can recommend just about anybody to them and they get top notch service and the company is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure you can use the product. This situation with other companies would end up with you having to pay shipping back and get a refund, that always angers me because you end up spending 10 buck or so and don't have anything to show for it.

Here's something they do that wins my heart. Shipping. At check out they let Washington residence know when UPS ground (7 dollars and some change, will arrive on the same date as 2nd day air (UPS) on this occasion, $17.00!
This usually offests the local tax we must pay for buying in state.

It didn't cost them anything to tell me, but it saved be a lot over the years.":O}
