Still working on this OC but figured I'd throw up a Pi run..

Should be able to get something in the 11's by the time I'm finished.

It is water cooled (MP-05 Pro block), temps max out at 48C full load at that voltage.

Hey ccp, did you ever OC the E7xxx processor you were talking about?
I never saw any results of that.

I played with it one afternoon. Haven't been able to get back to it and see how much further it would go.

Well, I'm not too experienced with actual benchmarking but I reckon this looks like an OK start on my new Maximus Extreme...

3D06: 16770
AQ3: 196839

I'll go to some serious work on the cpu next because I had some problems with the cpu tests in 3DMark; but I'm certain that there's still some headroom on the 9600 and that will influence the score more when I push it. If it stays cool here the next few days I should show a bit more. I think I can tighten up the memory to maybe 6 or 7-7-7-something, too, but I'm not sure how much help that'll be in benchmarking.

Well, I got in a few more runs of 3D and AquaMark; here's the latest numbers:

3Dmark06: 17851
AquaMark: 214165

This board and memory combination has been a distinct pleasure to use, and everything has just worked from day 1 with no issues. Corsair quality goes without saying, but it nearly makes me want to say that ASUS... no... no... I can't bring myself to say it just yet... But maybe soon

It would seem the P35 on up Asus boards have set a new standard compared to the Asus of a year ago. I have actually enjoyed my time with them instead of fighting with them trying to get them to do what I want.

Those are seriously nice numbers you have there T-road. One of these days I will actually get the time to start tuning on my rig and get some good numbers..

I am amazed at these scores. A 9600Gt and a Q6600 nets some great points.

That is my sentiment exactly. This board just doesn't ever seem to be cranky; ok, it will let you know when you've gone too far [in a most spectacular way] but it doesn't do any of that CRAZY no boot-no post-boot block BIOS-swap the memory around to boot-BIOS won't hold settings-BSOD for no reason-let it cool down-do the 24 hour BIOS clear thing-take out the vid card-put it in another slot-take it out again-put in a plainjane PCI card-take out one stick-change the stick to another slot-turn in the direction of Mecca-do a rain dance-sacrifice a lamb-goat-virgin etc-etc-etc stuff that ASUS boards were doing before.

Between this one and my A8N32 I'm in good shape at home now. And thanks for the kudos; they are appreciated-especially coming from you guys! Will see what I can do to squeeze out some more later.

@Sam- how's the back feeling? Are you back to work this week?

I will OC my card see what I can get. My setup is close to what you have. Q6600 @ 3.5 Ghz, 9800 GTX (better than 9600 I hope O.o) Gigabyte P31 Ds3L and I think at stock I scored 15500 which is not good if you scored 16K. Hmm wth?
