This room gets quite warm. With my central air system the rest of the house is like a freezer compartment!! But this room is not. Now I bet you are asking, why not just move to a different room. Well I may be WeldZilla but if I try to leave this room my wife becomes like GodZilla!!! But she has relented and will let me put a room airconditioner in here. So I plan on it while she is of a mind to let me. you see she runs her system stock so hers is quite cool. So I will just rest on my laurels for now. Til my room is modded.

I had a little window unit in my last computer room. Same issue in the summer. It was a great help.

I'll run what I got tonight. My main rig is back on air cooling for the time being but still does fairly decent. CPU is a little on the weak side but the plan is to pick up a quad at the next price cut for $266.

My Mach is strapped to my 939 setup. I'm waiting for power supply to return from RMA so I can see what my trusty 148 CABYE can do under phase. It is 24/7 stable at 3169 on water so I am curious just how far it will go at -35 celsius.

Truth is I'm really not getting much from the 7950GT O/C wise. Anyone got a good clear link on how to Volt mod a 7950GT? I'd at lest like to look at it and weigh my chances, can't take any big chances at this time...":O}

When I get to the house I'll grab the pics I have. The 7950GT uses the same points as the 7900's. I did VGPU and Vmem with variable resistors.

An extreme cooler.

Gotta love that. Throw up a pic or two of that if you will sir...

Just happen to have a pic loaded in photobucket. It was in dire need of some repair when I got it so I picked it up cheap.

Should make for some interesting runs. It's a little graphically challenged right now with the 7100GS in it. I was waiting for 8800 prices to drop so I could upgrade my main rig but it doesn't look like it will happen for a few more months.

Pics of the 7950 vmods.

1st attachment, VMem courtesy of VRZone, confirmed working by me. If you choose to solder in a VR make sure it is at it's highest resistance w/ a multimeter before applying power. Faulty VR's have killed a card or two.

2nd attachment. Courtesy of xtremesystems. GPU Vmods will be done using a conductive ink pen and run as follows:

red 1.25
yellow 1.30
red + yellow 1.35
Purple 1.40
purple + red 1.45
purple + yellow 1.50
purple + red + yellow 1.55

I have read that the 7800 7900 is the same. I will look at my card to see if it looks like this.

Thanks for the post.
