Battle Royale. Always fun. I was at stock card voltage for that run, should be back on water by the weekend and we can crank it up for the 7000+ run.

To even get close I will have to buy another 7900 for SLI or save my pennies for a nice shiny 8800

I'm using dip switches for core voltage and a VR for memory voltage. I'll get some pics of my card this weekend when I throw the blocks back in my rig.

The pencil mod works for the memory voltage but does not work for the core voltage.

Radio Shack carries the conductive pen. http://www.radioshack.com/sm-see-all...i-2104395.html

I use electrical tape and a pencil eraser to cover up anything I don't want to mark, sometimes an exacto knife is helpful with a light touch.

Hey Guys there is some nice benches getting posted up here! Hey Sam a new 8800 would look good in your case too!! Well just about any case really. I see you are getting more and more chris. I should get my new P5W DH tommorrow and I will be back to the 6400 and air cooling with my P5N-E SLI board and my 7900GT card too. then I will give you guys a go with that. Wouldn't be fair to compare my 7900GT scores on my P5W against yours. As many of you know it is liquid cooled and just to ultimately powerful. I will see how i fare with the P5N and the 6400.
As a Friendly reminder of just how much thump the old configuration had here is a 3D01SE score for you guys to shoot at. Remember my 7900GT was clocked at 742/2015

Doubt I can top that number weld, but I'll give it a run.

Just so I know how to set up. Was that run on a tweaked OS or an OS in daily use condition, any other tweaks? Main thing is that achieved results are actually comparable to one another.

All of my recent benchmarks posts were in daily use config, AV on, backround services running etc.

No tweaks but if you look at the date it was january and cold!! that is why I was able to get the clocks up so high on the card. I doubt I will get there again with it til next winter. I am guessing that 48 to 50,000
will be about as fast as it gets this summer... Again you have put up some great scores here. Daniel will have his work cut out for him!!

Daniel is feeling a bit chilly about the feet. Neither hand nor eye is good enough to solder anymore... not at this scale.

How worth while is it to just do the memory mod?

You're not the only one Daniel, my days of looking through a magnifying glass and soldering are nearing the end as well.

The memory mod is worth doing, You won't see a big jump in games but benches such as 3D01 and 03 that are bandwidth dependent you will notice a pretty good gain.
