BTW-There is a new Drive Sweeper for Vista x64. It,s a beta at 3D guru.

EDIT: no pics-for got I took screenshoots off startup.
Panel mod is over-for the most part-take a look in case mods!
Strange why your score would go down instead of up...hmm.

I use Driver Cleaner to clean up in between graphics driver installations & I took a look at your case project.
Good job! Too bad you can't have your CPU heatsink/fan blowing horizontally to the back exhaust fan instead of vertically to the top.
I think that would take the temps down by about 2-5c & would have been the main reason I would have bought a new case for the new system's HW.

I think you'd LOVE the Antec 900 with all it's cooling fans & TONS of room inside!!!
Its also 100 bucks now at Newegg!

I wrote you about this but I must have hit preview post.
I think the conflict between meds is mostly gone so here goes!
The case I'm working on now I bought in 1995 or so with a Power UP 350w PSU. ( I still have the PSU, it has been a real workhorse!) I put an Epox 8k5a2+ into it with an Athlon 2800+
That was my first real computer.
There are so many ways to build a structure for a computer, it's almost unlimited. I've see a few gameing rigs I might be interested in, but this is my last "BOX" they are to limiting. I've got two in mind but Mareen would kill me if I started a new one when the old one isn't finished yet!
But she has gotten used to it. She actually laughed when I told her I could buy the side panel for $29 and have it here in 3 days. She understood I needed that project after surgery. Quite a gal.

I "Know" all about meds & yes, I did notice some of your posts were...lets say I had a very hard time understanding them so I knew you were having some problems with the meds & thinking clearly...

That's kinda how I felt when I first starting taking Morphine.

Well, Muff!n, my friend-the rig is almost past it's shake down cruise.
In Vista x64 temps were 35c with F@H and OC'd at 3.70G. I want to do some adjustment on 1 fan and then I'll hit the books I've got on the meanings of the different bios settings and another one for the memory settings in relationship to the bios settings. I'm in a clean install of XP so i dont have those programs loaded yet. I want to try agian to get a good backup file for Xp and then do the same for Vista.

Then I go Overclocking!

I thought I'd do a couple of tests just for fun. I'm useing the 181.20 drivers and Physx 9. The only difference was turning on or off Physx.

Actually what I see from you adding in another RAM stick that is unmatched was a reduction in your Vantage score.
This is to be expected though.
In a high performance system you want all your ram to be matched sets, otherwise it hurts the performance of the system.

Good score for all stock settings, but it looks like you didn't run the full test?
You got a bunch of blank spaces next to the "Feature Test" results.
Your score would be higher if you did.

I'm just glad that after you got your new system together that everything works like it should!

Thumbs up Latest Geforce drivers v182.50 Vantage benchmark results!

I ran the Vantage benchmark 3 times using the new 182.50 drivers.
Once at 3.30GHz, 3.40GHz & once at 3.50GHz.

What surprised me, is that the highest overall score is at 3.30GHz!

All Vantage benchmarks were run on Windows 7 Ultimate x86 build 7057 using the 182.50 Vista drivers.

The test results are below with them being left to right- 3.30GHz / 3.40GHz / 3.50GHz

Final note: Regardless of the test results, these newest Geforce drivers v182.50 are the best so far on score results of any I've used so far!!!
I've never seen 25000 for my CPU score!
So these new drivers get the MUff1N Big thumbs up of approval & I highly recommend them!!!

CPU wise you are way ahead of me, but GPU wise I got a bit of an edge over you...

But as you say it about evens out in the middle.

Btw, these new drivers work great for gaming or whatever you use your graphics card for.
Good stuff!!!

I picked them up a little while ago but have been to busy trying to get these Razors to work, OC'ing and Benchmarking have been the last thing on my mind.
EVGA 790i will be here Wednesday so that is when the new mod starts.
You are going to like this one-it's cute!

Thumbs up Vantage bench on Windows 7 using Geforce 185.68 beta drivers

As I stated if I could figure out a way to install these drivers I would report back...Well I did & these are the results.
Ambient Occlusion is Enabled & supported by the 8 series graphics card! (8800GTS screenshots below)

The 185.68 beta drivers have about the same performance & FPS as the 182 series drivers
with the exception of a new added graphics feature called "Ambient Occlusion.

Bioshock is one game that supports Ambient Occlusion & I have screenshots below along with the Vantage Benchmarks.
The first one on the Left has Ambient Occlusion OFF & the second one on the Right has Ambient Occlusion ON.

If you want to use these drivers you can download them here...
Btw, I was the one who modified the nv_disp.inf to support the 8 series cards!
So you know these drivers are safe an already tested with the results below!!!

Geforce 185.68 Vista Drivers 32-bit (modified for 8 series cards and up)

I just ran mine and am a little disapointed. I have to muche work to do to start working in it but I thought it would be a little better. I'm useing the 182.20's. I wanted to start to work with Cuda but there has been no time!
This is what I have now and about all I'm going to get for a while.

What's keeping your score down in the 7000 range is the graphics card, not your CPU or system.

Once you get a more powerful graphics card your score will go way up!

Thumbs up Windows 7 Ultimate x86 build 7077 Vantage Benchmarks

This is my Vantage bench using the newest "leaked" version of W7U build 7077...
As you see it's got slightly more gaming performance than build 7057!
Any performance improvements are welcome big or small!
You get enough small improvements on an OS you end up with a BIG performance increase in the end!

This is running the newest Nvidia Geforce 185.68 beta drivers that I modded for the 8 series cards (post above) as well .
So far this build is nice & smooth with quick response times & good overall gaming performance...So I like-ee!

This is the game you can play for free till 17 this month. The reason I post this here is that you can download FrameBuffer Crysis Wars Benchmark tool and we can create another thread with results. DX9&10 real gaming bench.
