Thats the attitude, my suggestion would be to deep fry your x-fi, that way you can add it to favu's fries and have a tasty high-silicon meal.

This also means that there clicking due to lack of memory bandwith is completly fake. I have 2GB LL dual channel ram.

C'mon surely you can go back to on-board audio for a while, until you order 60 more for your felllow old people customers who want them so they can hear church sermons online.

That happend once

but the old guy wanted to listen to classical on iTunes. Anyway it won't let me use my onboard sice I disabled it and it defualts to the X-fi, I wouldn;t mind to much if I didn't have the clicking now.
Anyway EPOX 60*280= $16800. I don't think the people on my street will spend that much.

I hope you gave him quad-SLI and at least 4 GiB of RAM? Obviously, he would need a quad-opteron server motherboard, maybe a terabyte of RAID storage.... phase-change cooling....

You understand though with some of th systems I build, I don't completly customize them. I'll get a customer who will say to me I want this and won't agree not to get it. At some point I just give up and build what they want. I would never give an old guy an X-fi. But when he tells me he has a $4000 with the best "card for sound" there is.........
