This as gone on for too long

I sent my old 6800 Ultra back on the 19/05/06 to OCUK (they emailed me on the 20/05/06 saying they had got it and tested it) and still not had a replacment they said because the 6800 is no longer made they would supply me a 7900GT. I have emailed them once every 2-3weeks and get the "oh we are very sorry but we are waiting for our suppliers" however they say they got loads instock! So whats the best course of action to take as 3 months to me is just crazy!

Stir the pot a bit by placing a call to your comsumer commission (whatever your version of that is). Best case, you might get your card back a little faster. Worst case, you add your name to the ever growing list of people pissed off at OCUK.

Newegg in the USA seams to be the one etailer that people are rather pleased with in terms of customer support, RMA support, and price.

The number of threads we've had about people having problems with RMAs and service from OCUK, particularly with extraordinarily long waits with little or no communication or response is atrocious.

I don't even live on that side of the planet, and I have a very bad opinion of them. If someone from OCUK is reading this, pull your socks up and start treating your customers with some respect. Newegg is going international soon, and if OCUK doesn't pick its act up, expect Newegg to kill them off.

I think they are aiming at the UK, and Europe initially. If they came to Australia, I would be more than pleased. This country is full of scumbag retailers as it stands. I feel safer buying my gear off a bloke in Hong Kong than the criminal operating Sunlit computers here in Brisbane.

Whoa! Newegg's going international!? That's great! I have used them for at least 5 years here in the US, and they are incredible. All RMAs are good, prices are some of the best, they ship really quick, and all sorts of good stuff. Though here in the US I wish they would return to FedEx for shipping instead of UPS. I would gladly pay a couple bucks more for faster, more reliable shipping.

Sounds like they're unwilling to draw on their sales stock to replace your card. They're specifically waiting for an individual replacement from the supplier.

That's fine if the supplier sends the replacement promptly, but leaves you stranded if they don't. The retailer should do the right thing and just give you a card now.

You would need to either contact your local Trading Standards or the one in Stoke-on-Trent. If you can show TS that you have done all you can to resolve this yourself, then they may be able to step in. I suspect you would be one of many complaints!
