| Operation Integration Alumicoat Phase I updated july 09 Operation: Integration Alumicoat..phase I Finally.. plans for Integration Alumicoat have been aproved! (by me, web56n) In the proceeding weeks I will be performing this extreme mod, with step by step collaboration of details and pictures. consisting of a completely modded pc work station. Phase I - Design this operation will consist of having the entire work station integraded, which will include completely custom built desk that will become the pc's case. along with a semi-stealthed keyboard and mouse, a stealthed webcam that will be built into lcd monitor and will be remotely controlled from keyboard tray. Mods underway.... semi-stealthed keyboard. first I'll explain the mod, it will be a complete keyboard tray that is fabricated from acrylic boxed so keyboard can fit into and sit flush. the tray will be claded with brushed aluminum and also keys when finish keyboard will be mounted and visible but will not be on top of tray but flush with tray. here is a pic of doner keyboard http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkP...e06738f9&size= keyboard is a cheap luxor cost $8.00 ( won't matter cause all you'll see are the three lights from the original keyboard) most or all keyboards have a convex key and sit slightly higher on each layer of keys,(angled) in order to have keyboard mounted completely flush with tray the keys had to be sanded flat and true on the same plain like this http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkP...c3db5552&size= and this http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkP...23a174c9&size= the keys will have new tops mounted of brushed aluminum and will be stamped with letters and numbers. keyboard tray I completely covered the aluminuim with masking tape to avoid any unwanted scraches, I then layed out where keys are, notice no number pad I choose not to include them. http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkP...16cd6191&size= here are pics of keyboard frame the frame is made from 1"x1" acrylic, which sits along the outer edge of keyboards tray. here's pic of frame. the ends were glued together on a 45* angle. keyboard or whats left of it sits in cavity of frame and brushed aluminuim is on top acting as a lid. http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkP...31e633b9&size= I've drilled holes at either end to install highpower blue leds which will light up the entire frame http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkP...34be5524&size= more to come....

I've chosen to use satin finish aluminum for the edges it has a groove so the acrylic had to have a notch to match http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkP...64d31770&size= I put a slice along the edge of the 1" acrylic 7/16" deep to fit the aluminum edging. it slides on with little effort. the keys are like elevator buttons and you don't press the key down just touch it. I'm not a very fast typer to start with this makes things alot easier for me, I guess it's one of those things you got to try and you'll see.....

| here is pic of molded clear silicon, 1/8"x6"x13" this is how I made the keys to be soft touch, should have posted it earlier. this goes right on top of electronic keyboard pad, instead of any keys or all the little rubber cups, ( the sanding of keys flat was I guess trial and error) this not only made the keyboard soft touch but it also let me light up all the keys..by placing 4 blue led's around the outsides. http://www.hpphoto.com/servlet/LinkP...26ff6369&size= sorry for the confusion, missed that one......
