Case recommendation

can anyone recommend a mid-tower ATX case with good ventilation for <=150?

these are some i've spotted:

Lian-Li PC-61 USB B2
Enermax CS-B031-TBB (titanium)

i prefer black as a color.

i especially like a side case fan that blows directly on the video card. for an experiment i hung such a fan in my current case and i was able to over clock my Radeon 9700 np an additional 30MHz.

Lian-Li, no question about it.

thanks for the feedback, Alexandrus.

unfortunately the Lian Li doesn't have a side panel fan so i'd have to mod it, and my last modding job didn't turn out that well.
the side panel fan is a must if you want to keep the vid card cool. i don't want to mod the vid card because vid card mods are card specific.

the choice is a tough one. the Enermax is $101 while the LL is $135 (priced at Newegg inc shipping).

LL pros: aluminum (lightweight), top case fan, adjustable front intake fans
LL cons: high price, no side case fan, or window (minor con to me)

Enermax pros: low price, side case fan, motherboard standoffs (better than LL imo), titanium looks great
Enermax cons: steel interior construction (heavier), no top case fan, needs more intake airflow from front, titanium finish fingerprints easily

Well, it's up to you really, but I love my Lian-Li case and I had a lot of cases, I find that Lian-Li are some of the best.

Read a review of the Enermax Titanium on www.Bjorn3d.com yesterday. Seems that the fancy mount for an 80 mm in the left side of the case doesn't blow directly on to an AGP Vidcard.

I find my Coolermaster ATC-201B-BXT "Black Widow" Very goooood!

No side fan tho. But i you could always get the basic one and get it modded. Would be worth it. It's by far the best case ive had.

Lots of fans! =)

I like Lian-LI better than the rest, only TTGI/SuperFlower come close, but have ugly front panels

Fair enough. I was gonna buy one instead of the Coolermaster but it wasnt in-stock. Think it was the Lian Li PC-65 in black. Looked nice, but i think the Coolermaster was a better choice. Less common anyway. Any bigger too.

I have a Cooler Master myself. I love the way the case is setup and how it looks. Great cases.
