tools for modding a case

hi,

i know some people use a dremel for modding and i've seen others use a manual shears-like device. which one should is easier?

after cutting a side panel, ive seen many modders use a black rubber frame around the acrylic glass to prevent air from going in. i've also seen others without any black frame (screwed on, i think) and just now i saw a very thin gray rubber frame (from a case gallery posting). can i have any info on the tiny rubber frame?

thanks,
barneygumble742

Tin snips work better on steel with Ahnolt-type hands and forearms. With a litle practice, Dremel's work very well. Just wear safety goggles and mind where the arc of the cutting wheel is.
