Wink Antec Amg 1000

Hey guys, I just bought an Antec AMG 1000 case and it's quite nice looking. I never did case modding so you guys think that I should take some pictures and then we can talk about how can I make it look better?

Chris

Good place to start I'd say!

Some cable tiding would improve the look. Maybe some rounded drive cables and some kind of braiding or wraps on the power cables. That would be a good starting point.

my personal suggestions:
1. PAINT! PAINT! PAINT! Make sure to pull the case apart completely, and paint all surfaces, even those you don't normally see. should any light hit the back of the panel and it not be the same colour, this may affect the effect...
2. PSU RECOVERING!....this includes bpth wrapping the wires and changing/modding the psu cover. No point in a plain grey box in a fancy box.
3. ROUNDED CABLES! These will improve airflow in yours case, and make it more pretty. Lots of colours to chose from...find some that suit your taste...GLOW-IN-THE-DARK or EL-lit cables always do a good job.
4.....add another cathode to the top of your case....and make sure to use the same inverter, or buy a second that has a dual inverter.

I like to use wire looms that can usually be had at just about any auto parts store for only a few dollars. Cheap and simple.
Here's a pic.

@Cadaveca: WOW, you are a master in that, I don't know about painting, what should I use spray? I will try to change my PSU look, and yeah, I will change my regular cables with round ones. Can you explain a bit the thing with the "same inverter - dual inverter" because I don't know what you're talking about. Friend don't laugh your ass off (I am a begginer)

@Rob: I have that at work but there are white ones and I don't think it'll look good. I think I'll buy black ones like in the picture.

Thank you GUYS !!!!

Chris

Well I have spirals at work but as I said earlier they are white and I don't think they will look good. But that just gave me an ideea, why don't I paint them black?

And since Romania is not Irak let me show you what we sell at work and by the way those are the spirals I was thinking about:

i like krylon paint for pcs..if ya want to do it yourself.
auto shops can do a good job for cheap, but expect $50 or so asking price.
dual inverter....it is the little box your light plugs into that changes the current from dc back to ac...some can handle 2 bulbs, and this lessen wires.
don't be afraid to change the wiring more than once..... but alot can be said about a case that has little visible wires.

SW that is awesome. How much did you pay for that window? I hope the mobo was red from factory ! I like the combination blue and red and I definately like the black tubes. Next week I'll be free from work since I am redecorating my apartment and I hope I'll have time to work on the case too.
Alex is that UV what I've seen in there? Your case look cool. Thanks to your help my baby case will look alike his parents in a couple of days.
