Lightbulb Need some good mod ideas

i need some good mod ideas for a old case i have that i want to mod. id like to mod my good computer but i cant because my mom doesnt trust me with tools so i have to prove i can mod flawlessly on old stuff. so far ive turned our old computers parts (PIII, 256, rage128) into a briefcase computer that u can take to lan partys. ill get some pics for anyone who wants to see it. the whole side opens up and the ps and the vid card and mb ports stick out the side. but you cant tell its a computer otherwise. anyway, i need suggestions of stuff that would look good on it. its just a plain beige case, 2 5.25, 1 3.5, 1 HD, so its not that big, but the case panel is just 1 big one, not 1 side that comes off. so any modding really has to be done on it unless you build a holder thing. anyway, please give me some ideas that are fairly cheap. not like putting a plasma screen into the side of it or anything. thanks!!

I'd like to see some pics of your brief case mod!

Modding a case where the sides and top are one piece does pose a few obstacles. But certainly you could at least paint it with some car spray paint. Then may be some lighting underneath the case to give a nice glow effect.

Yes, in the same way some custom cars have glowing lights underneath. It could look quite effective if the comp is painted in a bright colour as well.

I have case lights behind my desk, just to brighten up the wall!

ok then, ill look into some lights. though glass ones might not be too good becasue they may break while going to a lan party, moving, etc. i might be able to get some really high powered LED ones. they work pretty good. the kind that they make those flashlights with

i know that ill add some cuboard handles to the top so that i can carry it easyer. i might put 2 fans on the one side under the window. 1 intake and 1 exaust because theres no room for blowholes on the top, front or back. stupid small case. anyway, some suggestions for paint would be great.

If you put carry handles on it I would say put them on the back, not the top!

Put one on the back panel near the bottom an one near the top. That part of the case is much stronger than the lift-off cover which could come loose while you are carrying it.

Some thing like that, where ever you can make a good fixing. The back is a solid part of the chasis. The removable covers are prone to coming loose, the screw holes become worn and the cover could fall off while you are carrying it.
