Using TT pots to control other fans?

Hi!
I have some leftover pots from installing lotsa ThermalTake HSFs, and would like to use them to control the speed of all the fans in my case (mostly 120mm using regular molex for power).

Now, would that work or would it burn out the pots? And what would I have to do to make it work?

Sounds like you're trying to build yourself a Rheobus. If you're gonna use the pots straight up full power, then you're fine. If you decrease the current using the pot, then where does the extra power go? The pot isn't made to be a heatsink and will start to burn itself out. Here's a tutorial to build yourself an in expensive rheobus. Expect to pay another 10 bucks for integrated circuits (IC's), a printed circuit board (pcb), heatsinks for the IC's and a pack of resistors. You already should have the 1k or 2k pots already. The LEDs are nice to include but not necessary. Hope this helps.
