Well its been a while since I did this so dont want to be accused of digging up the dead so to speak, but this case has been sitting in my spare room for quite a while now doing nothing so I thought Id have a go at modding it a bit more

the middle pic last post but one it to compare against current panel, unfortunately really I should have cut a 115mm hole but the biggest cutter I could find was 100

he he! I think this shows the general Idea, although Im not sure whether to put another hole below, or maybe even 2 different size holes to kinda make it look like a speaker, the round holes and the other side dont quite fit at the moment but I think once theres a couple fan grills on and its all painted up should look okay

I'm wondering about noise levels,and/or vibration? Did you use any foam or anything between the two cases before joining them? With so much open space and the thin metal of the "cheap" cases, is noise a problem. With water chip blocks, can't the amount of fans used, be reduced? I must say, nice work with the paint. Did you use a rattle can to get results like that or do you have a spray gun?

No vibration at all, they are revetted together and I must say very very sturdy, i did have some foam under the pump but that was it, ive actually been working on it over the weekend so might even start using it again. watch this space p.s used car spray paints in the tins
