Question Modders fan site kit

hi all,
this is in the wrong section probably but you don't have a 'General websites' area so here goes. Does anybody know of a free modders (case modding and things like that, not game mods) fan site kit that i can download and adapt to fit my site. I know a great deal about html but i just don't have the time to create one from scratch. The pages will be coded in html but will have a .PHP file extension so i can have a news update system (i have those things already).

Thanks,
Scott

not sure what you mean by fan site kit (perhaps someone else does though). Could you be a bit more specific?

I'm not aware of any general purpose 'fan site kits', typically the ones I have seen have been specific to a product or game. There are a bunch of content management systems out there (such as postnuke, mambo, typo3 et al) that you can probably find free templates for, but they'd probably require modification to suit your need -never mind the fact you'd need to learn the CMS too.

Another one is CM Simple.

It's open source and free.

well, the server has just had it's modem and DVD-ROM drive added so it's all set. It's running XP as the OS and it's at 56K but i'm using it right now to type this message. I did find a template for the new site last night and i've started editing it already. It looks quite nice as well. It's indigo/dark blue coloured and looks sweet. Just got to finish editing it, upload it, set up the redirect to my dynamic IP (i'm going to have a no-ip.com address but that's going to be covered by a .tk domain) and off we go..

Well, i've just finished the site and it's called nUKeacemods (sounds like 'new case mods', looks like 'nuke ace mods' 8-o).

I need someone to be able to help me create a forum and a mysql database. I am willing to host the forum it's just that i've never done anything like this before successfully and i need someone to create them for me (like i said, i will be able to host them but i just don't know how to create them and what tools i need).

Thanks

Edit - Áedán: Please review my comment above with regards to soliciting for moderators in our forum.
