case painting

hi guys,
I live in the bay area in california and was wondering were is a good place to get my case painted (or should i do it by myself?) If i do it by myself I want a professional black semi-gloss look which doesnt look flashy. What kinds of paints would I use in order to do this and how much does it cost?

Instead of semi-gloss why not use a satin finish if you don't want a flashy look? For something small like a case, a Krylon rattle can will get the job done if you are patient and apply thin coats over a period of a couple days with a 400/600 grit wet sand in between.

if you get it professionally done, i reccomend powder coating, it gives a really good finish that is rock hard

To get a perfect nice looking finish using black paint is quite difficult to do at home.
