moddable case wanted

hi fella's,
I looking for a new case that i can mod how i see fit. all my local computer shops dont have anything i like and when u look at the small discription and single pic on websites its hard to know wheather the case would suit my needs.

Basicly i'm looking for a case that has 5.25 drive bays on the front from top to the bottom, removable side panels on both sides, no side windows or little holes, no front audio.

just a very plain boxie case with lots of drive bays and nothing else.

Anyone know of a case? or a good site that stocks lots of them.

Any help would be very appriciated.

ajopz.

ebuyer.co.uk are great for cases like this, stocked in at under a tenner. mod it the right way and it could quite easilybecome a 50 quid case. look for ebuyer extra value cases for the best moddable ones though.

Hi again Ajopz,
Just tonight, i've decided to buy yet another new case, a better one, from ebuyer so i may be selling this one. It's got a top blowhole already cut into it, has space for 2 fans at the back, one on the side panel (point directly toward the CPU on most ATX boards) and at least 1 at the front. It's got temperature readout on the front. The top panel is a bit scratched from when my dad cut the top blowhole but a bit of paint and it'll be as good as new. If i am still selling it (the stock of my new case ran out tonight after i placed my order, there were 3 left when i ordered so i may not get it straight away) then i will pm you or something and let you know. It's in black, silver and just a hint of red. It's got 4 hidden drive bays, 2 visible floppy bays and 4 visible DVD drive style bays. This case has a door covering the visible bays, has a radiation applique on the window and says 'caution' in silver on the other side (only coloured in using a 'gel pen' so could be cleaned easily). It's quite moddable and in nearly new condition (may be a bit dusty and dirty but no physical damage, except the scrathes on the top panel).

Like i said, i'll PM you or something when i get round to selling it. If you don't want it, then it's off to the classifieds.

well, after 3 days of looking around on the net ive come to the conclution that i cant get a case like i want.
the closest thing i found was a server case for 300 buck! much2much.

think um gonna have to get a cheap case then break out the angle grinder and welding gear to get a front like i want.

Granted, this isn't really what you're looking for..you could just use a Thermaltake Armor.

Yea, I just thought you might wanna settle for that and forget about modding, but modding is just so much more fun.

Ive got a chieftec dragon full tower, its black with both windowed and non windowed side panels. Its a really sturdy case if a little on the heavy side.

What about the new Coolermaster Stacker? It's exactly what you describe, and is far better then those eBuyer jobs. Admittedly, more expensive, but you get what you pay for.
