cool idea, but fog machine outlets get very very hot. so if you mount it inside the case, put it up top. (might want a big case for this, or 1 1/2 cases mounted together). seems like a cool idea, but keep in mind the heat, i've seen the outlet bend thick abs plastic before, as well as a vaccum tube that i tried to direct smoke with once. |

When I want fog...I open a manual..":O}

This is what you are after: http://www.rosco.com/us/fog/pf-1000.asp That company is the one used by Hollywood, Disney World and the like. They made that particular machine to fit inside the head of dragons and the like. They do different types of smoke, some lingers for ages, some will disappear very quickly. |

I would strongly recommend against using fog macines near a computer as they sometimes contain vapour (ok, that was kinda twisted logic). You could buy one of those weird plate things that don't use heat or chemicals, just water (isn't water a chemical (it contains hydrogen and oxygen)? ) which isn't always a good idea.

this is a bad bad idea, the smoke machines i use are oil bassed, and leave a fine layer of the stuff on everything, not to mention setting of smoke alarms at a 100 paces, dry ice on the otherhand, wont look as good, but dont think it would do anything to your computer aside from make it cold

Rosco do smoke fluids which are not oil based and won't harm computers. It does come at a price though. It's the best smoke fluid available. |

Why not have little tubes that come OUT of the PC, and the smoke pours out of the tubes, so it doesn't actually ever touch components. Or have smoke pouring out the front on an Aerocool Aeroengine case, so your "Jetengine" smokes after use!

or mount the fog machine on top and extend your case around it so that it looks like part of the case, but the components are completely seperate from the fog.... this would require possibly some welding though... just depends on what you have access to and how much time you wanna spend

that would be AWESOME! you should rig it up on a serial input so whenever you die, smoke comes pouring out of your computer. BRILLIANT!
