The fact that the case is $350 for the base model without water cooling is a function of the fact that it has a lot of 'bling' on it. The hydraulic door opener, the tooling of the side door with all the fins, the removable drive bay, the roll-around castors on the base; all that stuff adds to the cost of the case. Adding another $95 for the water cooling isn't out of line.

But there's no way I'd pay that kind of money for that case.

so it;s a bling case not worth it. thanks. the door openers don't mean much to him since I'm the one building it.

when it comes post a pic and tell me if it's nice. I might tell my firnds to forget water cooling my sytem runs at 28C (cpu caore voltage 1.4). 31c mobo 48c GPU and 25 HDD. SO we might be able to save money and get a cooler case.

OMG! You could probably built somthing similar to the hydralics onto another case for much less. But that price really isn't worth it for that case. Get something cheaper and custom mod it. Your friend will be able to tell you what he wants on it then. And it's much more cost effective.

Hey dude, not to sound harsh, but I dont think you should be trying to raise the price to make more money for yourself, sure everyone likes/needs money, but don't extort your friends.

A custom-modded case would mean more, as a present, as it shows you value his friendship, and are willing to spend time and effort on him

Favu.

I mkean it in the sense it's his birthday present and thats what he want's. I'm not rasing the price. and his parents would never agree to a modded case. I don;t mean it like I would get a $400 vid card for $450 to make money. But it's not worth debating for more work for myself.

You are right, but when it comes to business, everyone must be treated equally. If this is a business venture, friendship or not, consistence is key. I still charge $65/hour, regardless of who it is. I wouldn't be able to feed my kids otherwise.

just change out the LEDs. Red ones aren't expencive, you'll end up saving some dough without gambling on an unknown quality fan.
