| Matrix Mod Idea I've decided to mod my case in the matrix theme, I have a couple of questions: I have gone the obvious route and ordered a whole bunch a green stuff for the inside. I thinking of a way to kind of get the green scolling writing effect inside the case at the bottom and use a mirror to reflect it onto the clear side, any ideas? I also need some 92mm green case fans? I'm after any input really, anyone know where I can get an lcd screen (small one, about 3" high by 2" wide) that I can mount in the door of the case and then somehow get it to display the green scrolling matrix writing? thanks in advance i need one of those windows!! any ideas: http://www.casemodgod.com/ftopic-471...rderasc-0.html cheers

| sounds like a neat idea, quite adventurous as well! I can only think of using a projector or lcd tv to get the effect of the writing, but this would be pretty bulky to get into a case, and for it to work... maybe some one else can come up with a better idea!

| The URL you pasted is truncated - the dots in the middle are where your browser decided it was too long to show and cut bits out. You want an LCD that's 3" by 2". Loosely translating, that's 7.6cm by 5.1cm giving a diagonal of about 9.2cm (Pythagorus). That's about 3.6" which is pretty small. To do a matrix style effect, you'll really need a graphical LCD, not a character one. The best fit I've found so far is the Crystalfontz CFAG320240C-YMI-VZ, but it's rather expensive at $132.90 and you'd have to learn how to program it! The active area is 11.5cm by 8.6cm, which is a bit bigger than you wanted.

| I looked at some surplus LCDs, but most of the ones I can find come without controllers. If you're not up with LCDs and their requirements, then I'd recommend you find one with a controller, preferably one that you can interface directly to the PC using the printer port or USB.

| I've been thinking about doing the psone screen mod, not sure how to get the scrolling code on it though
