Are aluminum cases STILL very expensive?

I haven't priced cases recently, please to forgive me. Do the aluminum cases still cost the earth, or are some of them within shouting range of high end steel Mid's? Thanks for your time and effort!

Pop over to my store in Bellevue and I can get you the Coolmaster 201 for $199.99. It just went down from $249.99. Great case with no P/S. PM me for details, I don't want to break any of the cardinal rules our fearless leader has bestowed on us.

I don't know about quality, but I think I've seen aluminum cases cheaper. Maybe as low as $130 or so. Directron carries a lot of aluminum cases.

Thanks for the replies. Next case? $37 pos, extra cut hands guarantee, included PS not good enough to go to the trouble of sledge hammering. Just down the trash chute, followed by defunct bowling balls.

Yes, there is at least one aluminum case I have seen for well under $100...

The Sky Hawk aluminum mid-tower ATX for $60

Review @ ipkonfig.com

Check it out,

So the reasonable price of the Skyhawk comes with a large price tag that's payable only in blood. Lovely! Need I add the "not?"

Does this mean that the Skyhawk's only virtue is that it's made from aluminum? Is is a pos case, and unthinkably bad if it were built of steel? What's the point? I hope never to buy a cheap case again. They are so bad...

The model of the Aluminium case that I got was ATX4378 which I travel over 330kilometres to get. I was totally disappointed with it and to tell you the truth, I rather go for a lian li if this is the case!
