I'm a fan of the movie Steamboy.
I've never heard of "steampunk" until just now...
It sounds pretty cool. What are your plans?

I notice the mouse has a tail...is it available in wireless and if so would you have to live in a sauna to use it?

( Great pics, a great little niche in the ever unfolding Cosmos I hadn't heard of before!)

Is this similar to how you want the finished machine to look?

Until recently, I had no idea what 'steampunk' meant either. However, my RSS reader keeps popping up with new stories about these modders and I have to say that some of the work is pretty neat.

Here's one of the things I saw recently: steampunk LCD mod.

I saw the LCD mod yesterday - I should have posted it. It is nicely done. I think that the steampunk stuff is showing that people want systems that have a more 'classic' feel to them, rather than just modern or functional designs.

I remember watching the WW West and thought it was great. the movie with Will Smith was pretty cool to. Just all the hardware.

This design style lends very well to computer modding.
