| You may want to consider an old ATX case. Tear it apart and use the drive cages, motherboard try and fan mounts in your desk. Can you post some pictures of your desk so we can picture what you are referring to? Great idea also. Hopefully you are not planning to move the desk in the future....

| Definitely! I bought an old ABS radio from an antique store and am planning to install a computer in it with a drive cage and motherboard tray from an old case. I havn't started and who knows if I ever will. But it was a good idea

| Bah, someone needs to mod a sewing machine. Ya know the 70's ones with the wooden table that you flip up the lid on and the sewing machine hinges up?

| I have one of those in the garage. What a great idea. Now to talk my wife out of it. Got any input on what you would like to see with it?

| hmm, how about a computer that can use some type of thread or rope to automaticlly push through two pieces of cloth at the same time with a special needle and you only have to push on a pedal while guiding the cloth. I can't believe I just thought of that. brilliant! Then you can use the pieces of cloth to form a type of shell in which to drape over your body. What could I call this? hmm, how about bodydrape? synthskin? Clothskin? Clothskinning? oh I got it.... Clothing

| AOA is now affiliated with Xoxide, so take a look at this page, if you're shopping for parts: http://www.aoaforums.com/frontpage/c.../view/4250/56/ |

I really don't know about a sewing machine mod. I don't even know if there is enough room inside it to install parts. What would be cool is a LCD monitor on the flipping panel. So the monitor will flip up when you need it and flip down when ya don't

| It would be a way to get a PC in to the forbidden room. (PC in the bedroom is usually not allowed.) I've been thinking about putting a PC in the closet behind the medicine cabinet in my bathroom, so I can have a LCD, and a pull out rack style keyboard/mouse drawer mounted in it. Use a spill-proof keyboard, and it's safe enough to have a PC over a sink. I figure I'd double hinge it. It's a medicing cabinet, but you can swing the whole thing out and the PC stuff is behind that. Real 007 kinda geek factor imo.
