Motherboard drawer/tray source?

I know you could get these for the lian-li and inwin cases without buying a case. Anyone have a source for them? I need one for a mod.

so a drawer that pulls the motherboard out? Do you need to remove expansion cards to pull the drawer out?
I havn't seen them before, but it sounds cool...

It's a drawer you assemble the board and cards on, then insert into the case. InWin is the only company who ever really had a reason to do it. They made a few cases like the A-500 that had the PSU in sideways sucking air away from the CPU area. They were great cases until the Coolers got too large to fit under the PSU.

You don't understand.. both of those companies have sold them without a full case. I'm just looking for a retailer.

Thanks! The timeing is perfict.
I'm concidering a new case mod based on a cube I picked up at the thrift store. One of the things I want is a roll out motherboard, like cabinet drawes. Fabricateing a tray was going to be dificult.
You just solved that one!

Porpor... don't you have an A500 case? I'm sure I've seen in it in your pictures of other things. It's kinda easy to not notice the tray is removable in the old in-win cases. People just put the PSU in last, and never pull it out.

I'm not doing some super cool mod. I'm just doing a really open air case. Acrylic and aluminum structure encased in bent and soldered expanded aluminum. Really simple. I figure, with the Xigmatech battleaxe, and DHT CPU heatsink, I won't need any case fans. I'm going to copy the structure of a simple 5ΒΌ bay floor to ceiling case, and use a sandbag and simple wooden forms to shape the front bezel pieces. Making the forms for the Bezel will take a while, but once it's made, it will look pretty good.

I'll just attach a piece of anodized aluminum piano hinge to the Mobo tray so it can fold out the side of the box.

Dive deep into the case mod gallery, and you might find my old cube mod, I took a Meridian CD-net server, cut it up, and put an atx board in it, on an inwin tray. Sadly, I got sick of how sharp everything is inside those things, and the 12 or so screws i has to remove to get the cover off it.

Here's a link to the thread I was posting to when I made it. It's soooo easy.

The Tower I have does have a pull out tray, but if I use it, I loose the tower! Not a good trade. And the cube I have in mind is no where near what was in the thread. With any luck, you'll have to look hard to know it's a computer and at the same time, with a few latches, you'll lift the front panel from the bottom and slide it back into the top of the box.
The I/O Panel is out the back with extra long wires so that the motherboard just slides out the front on cabinet hardware. The problem as i see it at this point will be the PSU and where to mount it.
The cube it self just screams mod. White press board top, bottom, back, with black plastic sides.
I've picked up some sort of kids toy that when dissesembeled gave me 4
7'x7' white plastic prefab vents that look great.
This thin is going to look more like a piece of ferneture-I hope!
OOps-new install, no spell check!
Edit:
when I get a minute I'll load the camera software and post a pic but it might be a bit. doing a new mobo right now!

Sounds very interesting. Let me know if you need help with anything. Could donate some of the nickle+dime parts. Plain black fans, switches, etc. Maybe fabricate some small things. I'm bored, does it show?

OK, here is something to let your mid play with. Just leave the cat alone!!

I's on castors already and pictures do help! I se from the font picture that my ideato fabricate a shelf to one side for the PSU and drives probly won't work with the front pannel haveing to swing up and then slide into the top of the case.
If i put the front on swing out hardware, where it would still pull open atthe bottom and then sweing up and over the top just might work. then the PSU , Drives .etc could be screwed to the undrerside of the top. [the bottom box is mobo box. A pic of air grills, and one of my almost finished

For shame! Missy, short for Mississippi, nickname for James Caan's character in John Wayne's movie El Dorado, Alan Vaudevillian Trahern, but of course Missy is a girl cat so the first name is Alana.
She is the only worthwhile one in the whole project. As you can see-she catches mice!

I mentioned switches, because I have some really nice black momentary push buttons. I bought a bunch when I found them. Nice small high quality switches.
