Mac SE case mod

I've finally put my PC inside a mac case, unfortunately the acrylic I was going to use for a window broke but here it is at the moment.

Wow, that is some heavy duty modding! I think this one deserves to go into the "Hardware Hacking" Topic Heading. Gotta be honest, I'm too wimpy to take on such a project. The "caressing" of the CRT gives me the willies, no lie.

Where is the CRT?

I was thinking of putting a PIII500 in to a PowerPC 7100 case, but I didn't have the tools with me, or all the exter stuff. As it stands, Spyder and I might put a PIII in to a iMac (Blue, of course)

I'm with you cloasters. I'm not scared of many things electrical but that gives me the willies to. I have no idea how to discharge a CRT and I don't want to know. Just too many amps there for me.

I decided to abandon having the CRT in after it started to make a burning smell during testing and it wouldnt display an image, decided it was better safe than sorry so I'm going to just put some clear acrylic in the big hole.
Also I have to make some holes for my USB extension cables.
I want to find a way to fit my floppy drive in as well.

My next idea is a whole PC in a briefcase, but mount a flat screen in the top. Unfortunately I cant afford a flat screen at the moment so I'll have to wait awhile.

You might have a look at at the PC Database at www.overclockers.com.au . Quite a few PC's in a briefcase to see there. When it's done right, it really looks slick! The link to the PC Database is the third item down, in the left side bar.
