my server mod

Hey all. Im new here...so yeah.
i built this pc last summer, and there are a few thigns i would like to add to it. for one, there was suppsed to be more lighting, with uv cathodes embedded in teh top pane to make it glow, but i couldnt fit them. this took me all summer to finish, and there are a lot of little things you probably wont notice until you take a closer look. sometimes the server is up, in which case go to www.sarcasam.com, but its usually not (for some reason it keeps on shutting down out of nowhere. dont know why. am worried).

The frame used to be silver, now white.
all the drives are stealthed, with custom bezels (i machined all of those decals out of steel by hand)
those small orange eyes on the front actually glow.
the inside was...bare? lol. notice the different drive cage i jammed in there to make things neater.
what do you think? anything could have been done differently?

Here are some pics of my rig with my newly built water cooling rig and a power distribution panel I made for the lights to run off a seperate power supply. The cooling rig hold 4 gallons of fluid and is made of aluminum. The tank itself ia 17 inches tall and 8 inches round. This sure helps suck the heat outs the water too. The fan under the rad is an 8 inch desk fan modified and mounted.

You guys do marvelous work! Maybe I'll contact one of our Members and ask them to build a custom made case one of these days. Yes, I could make one myself, but why? I don't have the tools and the last time I modded my own cases was years ago.

How does that extra water capacity deal with load changes??

BTW Sweet setup....looks great..

I have only had this thing up and running for less than a week and the extra water volume helps the temps stay down for longer. I also notices that the water when warm also takes longer to cool. All in all the system and extra volume are a big help. The recovery back to idle temps is very quick too. I can usually run for hours at low load without the idle temp going up at all. Under full load I ran it for an hour just cranked 100 cpu usage and only gained 1 degree above idle.

Third last step in modding procedure. Remaining two are a better cooler for northbridge and video card. Final step is custom cathode switch control centre.
