design your own computer case parts

http://www.emachineshop.com/

a lot of members here seem to have access to workshops to put together their own materials and design their own parts. For those who don't I just found this site.

You download their software and use it to design the part you want, send them the file and they ship you the part. They claim its cheaper than phoning around and faxing designs, butI don't know. sounds pretty cool to me.

If you want to cut 3D parts with a laser:

No-one said prototyping was cheap! ;)

Cutting metals with a laser can get expensive because the laser reflects back at itself and effectively damages itself as it goes.
