Direct Die pics

well i only have one picture so far

Ive changed my original design just a little instead of using some type of gasket material and hoping it will seal, I'm going to use silicone and attach the small block directly to the chip which i believe is as water proof as i can make it

i may have a few more pictures later tonight I'm getting ready to drill the large block and add the hardware

WOW! I hope it won't leak.

Do you have any blue prints for this design? It looks awesome so far, kat.

Kat,
That is truly nice, good job! I've been sitting here at work today trying to think of ways I can pull something like that off myself to no avail (Yet anyway :P ) If that works I may be begging you to make one and sell it to me.

they make alot of fittings that you can buy right off the shelf like that , and hose's would be much easer

but what i have in mind ,before i put water in this setup, is to sweat solder the 3/8 drain and the 1/4 inlet in to a loop with an air fitting and pressure Gage pressurize the loop and let it set for a couple of days to make sure its a sealed system

i want to make absolutely sure its tight because I'm putting my new epox 8rda+ and a 2100 tbread-b on the line

finished the 2nd fitting this one is 1/4"brass with a 1/4" compression fitting the tap is a 1/4-18 NTP and the drill bit is a 7/16

this hole went a lot better...i took a sharpening stone and dulled the bit first so it wouldn't take such a big bite

Hey Kat,

What did you decide on for the seal?

The pics and idea look great. Who would have thunk you would taken the idea and run with it like this.

Also, are you just dumping a stream on the die or are you fitting it with a spray?

This thread gets my vote for #1 idea this year.

I'm going to solder a piece of coper inside the brass fitting and drill a very small hole with a counter sink should make a nice spray

blue high temp silicon between the small block and the processor and just a plain gasket material from the auto parts between the small and big block four pan head bolts and nuts to hold the two together
