| Best cooling for Intels? One of my colleagues is having great success o/cing a pentiumIII of some description, but at the moment the temperature of his chip is enough to fry eggs. Since neither of us are familiar with Intel system, I've got a newbie-ish question: What's the best heatsink/fan combo available for an Intel? Strictly air-cooling only, please

| I love the Glaciator. Even with the computer sitting on the mobo tray on my desk I can barely hear it. Great cooling, too.

| The newer coolers for the athlons are alot better than what we were seeing a year ago when the P3 was king , even a Tt 6cu or other 18$ good T-bird cooler will spank on a P3.

| Hi everybody, first post Ive got a P3-450 @600 katami with a cheap £11 taisol socket A cooler glued to the core with arctic silver epoxy. I tried several other slot 1 coolers but this setup has been much more effective than anything else. Im sure the CPU would go fester but my motherboard will only go upto 133mhz fsb.

| Two words - water cooling.  Water on Intel processors can open a 50% or higher OC if the other hardware in the machine will handle it (due to increases in PCI bus speed, etc.). I'm using a P3-700E @ 1022 MHz right now, water/Peltier, and my processor temps in Win2000 Pro are usually sub-zero C at idle.oO
