I thought the others would be loud, but a Tornado too? Lol! Should be seriously chilly! Loud, but chilly Curious how that 800 will work, I know the 900 is one of the best out there. Got an SK7 myself... it's getting a little old I guess but it keeps her cool enough for now.

If I had the loot I could definitely waste some serious cash on cooling materials alone... and that's not even getting into liquid cooling

Yep, those Tornado's are seriously loud. I like the TT smart fan II quite a bit, it's got some power, but it's not insanely loud (well, some may beg to differ), and there is a manual fan speed adjustment. If you are going for a high-CFM CPU fan I would definitely recommend an adjustable one in case you start going crazy or deaf. That YSTech doesn't look half bad, although I've never tried it myself.

Something to consider....
A fan can only move heat off a heat-sink at the speed the heat-sink dissipates it, once it accomplishes this more isn't going to be better, just creates noise and burns electricity. That's why so much effort has gone into heat-sink design, to archive faster dissipation.

So unless your using a fairly advanced design, you may be spinning your wheels.

Well, on the processor I'm going to be using an slk-800 so hopefully that's more than adequate as I've heard nothing but good things about them . For the nb.. I don't know yet =/. I don't want to chance voiding the warranty.. but if I snag decent enough thermal tape I might get a better heatsink for it as well.

I think Daniel is right on the button with that idea. I think this is what Epox was going for with the 8RDA3+ NB HS. IMO adding a 40mm fan to the existing sink might be the best non-water option available.
