Thumbs down Most Challenging Question. If you have the info for this, you are genius.

First of all, I would really feel the need to complain.

Because,

It is ultimately difficult to find & purchase a simple Hold Down Device for the waterblock for motherboards that don't have holes. I've been searching for this device for several months (approx. 5+ months). When it takes that long, I would get really pi.ssed off. I'm also pi.ssed off because virtually all stores don't carry this device. WHy?.. I don't get it.. Aren't there still many boards(even the new ones) that don't have holes for the waterblocks?? This is.. getting rediculous. I stongly believe all stores need to carry this item. There are few places that carry this item. CPUFX.com used to have them but the whole site has been gone recently. The other one, I forgot. I can't retrieve it because I lost the URL argg..

Now the world's toughest question,

Does anyone have info on what store(s) carry this item anywhere in the U.S.? This is an ultimately challenging question.

oh and please don't tell me to make my own. I want to purchase the item. Also, don't reply if you are going to give info on building it my own. I only need info on where/ which site that carries this item and sell it. If they are not for sale or something that comes as a package in a watercooling kit, no good...

Sorry, I don't have the solution... but I'm having difficulty picturing the item. Are you looking for a generic device that holds the waterblock down to the socket using a clip to the socket's lugs? Sounds like that might be very tough, given different waterblock designs.

Since I don't watercool, I am especially ignorant. But if I see anything, I'll definitely let you know.

Hmmmmm.... That *might* work.. I didnt' realize they would have a such item in dangerdan. Thanks for the URL. Hmm do you guys think that clip will fit on the Socket A lugs for the AMD platform? It looks like it would fit... on the center lug.

If you look closer there is a drop down menu for a middle socket tab or or a 3 socket tab. And it says it is made for socket 370/socket A

I'm sure that I have won the genius award befor. Like when I'm driving and forget that is my exit coming up so I go from the middle lane to the left to pass someone, then shoot too the right and to the offramp. I'm sure atleast one of the guys behind me has said "That guy must be a fricken genus"

Anyway I just did a froogle search for waterblock hold down clamp. then sorted from low to high prices and it was at the bottom of the first or second page.

to revive an old topic, do u think that http://www.crazypc.com/Merchant2/mer...uct_Code=93053

would hold down a dtek whitewater? the other hold downs are currently sold out, and may not be back in. If they do, would THEY hold down the whitewater?

I'm not familiar with the Whitewater, but in looking at the pics, it looks like it is about the same height as the Danger Den. You have a lot of flexibility in the screw mounts for the block, and since the Whitewater has to have the same hole pattern as the RBX, it should mount up just fine.

yea thats what i was thinking, since the holes have to be straight since they are screws, all of the holes would have ot be the same on all waterblocks, the problem is maybe the nozzels, but if anything the RBX would be worse, because it appears they are further spaced out than that of the Whitewater.
