Hi all,

Thanks,

Gerry

I don't know about the Vapochill in particular, hopefully someone who has one will respond, but what you are talking about basically is a compressor for a rather large fridge. My guess is that the noise level would be slightly louder than your average water cooling system. The thing is, with your WC, you can put the radiator and fans (and hence the noise) anywhere you want, including outside the house. You can't easilly do that with a Vapochill, and you can't do it at all without significantly modifying the unit.

I believe the vapochill runs off of 120v so it won't affect your psu.

My info is out of date by about three years. The chill was silent, dead quite. but one needed at that time to add fans to cool the case, this has probably been corrected.

I loved mine...EXCEPT, condensation always got to the CPU. I had to re-seal every month to six weeks.

This to may have been corrected, they are quite different now.

Hi all ,

Thanks for the posts ! Opinions seem to vary a bit from sounding like " a fridge " to being quite silent . Why did you change away from a Vapochill , Daniel ? All that resealing ? There must be someone on here with a Vapochill, I`d like to hear their views .

Yes, also the changes I would have to have made in the system as it was already out dated as far as CPU's and motherboards.

you might want to try this question on www.overclockers.com for a quicker response, they have more members than does this forum.
