what temp p4 2.66

hi i have an intel p4 2.66 with an msi865m2/865pem2 board running with an a-bit otes fx 5900 card but my p4 seems to be running hot i am using a speeze cooler {9t291b1m3 easystream III} AS I AM WRITING THIS THE CPU TEMP IS 37c as soon as it gets any kind of load it shoots up to around 55 c with the stock fan it was 59c i havent even started to oc yet are these temps that bad and whats the best advice to cool them down without going to overboard with the price ty

You are definately want a copper cooler. Theremalright SP94 is the best but it has a $50 price tag.

Maybe you could tell us where you are at and give us a price range and we could point you to something more specific.

Well I was hoping someone from the UK would have responded by now.

If you were in the US I would tell you to check out either a Thermalright SP94 or a Swiftech MCX4000. Both are about $50 US without a fan. That comes out to around 32 pounds I think, after you add in tarrifs and VAT I would suspect that it would put it back up to 50 pounds. But well within your price range.

sort of sorted this now bought a p4e 3gig got a thermatake hs+fan get same sort of temps but prescot i was told is supposed to run hot and thanks for the replys
