Delta 60x50 cfm fan, 3-4 C* diff.

I had gotten the Delta 60x50cfm fan 8,500rpm, WHAT yes it is LOUD, and have it in an open case right next to me on the desktop.

The test HS is a Volcano 6, on the AMD XP1600+-1.4 @ 1800+-1.575. c/v 1.80

To see the difference I put the 50cfm fan on the volcano then on the cpu, yesterday I took the 50cfm fan off and put the reg delta back on and it gets a 3-4 C* difference in temp.

Is it worth the NOISE, hmm. The 50cfm is sitting on the desk right now.hehe.

Can you say EARPLUGS.

Only if you can overclock further.
And even then only if you have good quality ear defenders.

I couldnt stand it when my housemate ran one of those fans in the room next door (i pulled the blades off and gave him a YS-Tech as a replacement)

I could never stand to use one myself.

I think my current 60mm YStech is too loud.

IMHO even the YS-tech 26CFM 60mm fan is too loud . . . . that is what drove me to the wet stuff back in the day . . . . .

Sitting here right now with a nice quiet Panaflow 103CFM 120mm fan blowing through my heat exchanger . . . . .

I've got an ultra quiet Panaflow 23CFM 80mm fan swapped in to the PSU and another 23CFM 80mm fan blowing on the on-board power supply on the motherboard . . . . .

Loudest thing in my whole system is my rather quiet 5400RPM harddisk . . . . .

Silence is music too my ears . . . . . even though I am half deaf from spending way too much time at the drag strip . . . . .

bah ur all wusses

im planning on getting a VERY special 120mm fan......... its gonna make a 80mm delta sound positively silent

i think i will need a new case tho cos i want it on the HSF but wont fit in my current case....... also im getting a 100mm blower for the rest of the case, and 2 130CFM ystech on the top exhausting, and a pair of 45cfm 80mm in the drive side of the case exhausting.......... and i still gonna have positive case pressure

Ive got a eheim250, 30L resevoire and homemade radiator stiling here right now.

Im making my own waterblock and I broke a 1.5mm drill off when drilling a hole. Ive been having a nightmare getting the bits out.

I should be sorted fairly soon as everything but the waterblock is ready to go.
