XP-120 thoughts

I just got my new XP-120 heatsink in the other day, I was comparing it with my old glacialtech heatsink. With the glacialtech i was idling around 80 degrees and under load about 115. The XP-120 was keeping the idle temps to 75 degrees and load temps to only 95. The only thing is, is that we don't have our heater on and its probably only 65 degrees in the whole house.

I got a Sunon 120mm fan with the XP-120 blowing 84 cfm only making 35 dB's so its actually quieter than the old 80mm fan. I've got the P4C800 Deluxe and the heatpipes actually bent a cap but other than that installing it wasn't to much of a hassle. Theres actually so much overhang on the heatsink the fan is blowing on the northbridge.

Very nice product, high quality and fairly light considering its size, if you decide you want one be sure and check thermalrights website.

realized i put this in the wrong area...

I had looked at that heatsink, it does look good. I'd be tempted if I wasn't using water. I like the way it also cools other components near the CPU.
