Multiple case fans

The computer i'm about to build is gonna have 4 fans (2X80mm, 1X120mm and 80mm which is part of the case). i was wondering if they should all be connected in series via one 4-pin connector to the PSU or in a line onto the fan connector on the motherboard's 3-pin space (Asus K8V). if they are connected to the motherboard, will i be able to moniter the fan speeds etc, even if they are connected to each other.

also i was thinking that if i get a fan controller do they plug into that instead?

yo can only plug 2 fans into the motherboard, the cpu and one case fan so the others will need to be plugged into molex connectors
a fan controlled is used to let you change the speed of the fans to make them quiet when you dont need them on full blast and yes they would plug into that instead
