Unsure but this may be a temp reporting bug that effects several of the newer drivers...?

See past posts on Nvidia drivers in this forum...there is a fix, but if it is the reporting bug your temps are most likely OK, just mis-reported.

Yup it's a widely reported problem, temps are reported about 20°C higher than they actually are, overclocking seems to bring it down to correct levels though

If you download any drivers from AOAFiles, you can read the details for the driver, which for the nvidia drivers effected by this bug, gives an explanation of how to correct the problem.

also may i recommend the Valance studios Xtreme G 76.10 drivers for your 6800GT. They offer the best performance by far, and info on how to correct the temp problem is viewable in the details for that driver.
