| I wouldn't suggest all that at all. Lubricating the magnet is completely pointless and is a pain to get at. Instead, do the first three steps/pictures, so you have access to the bearing assembly, and then put a drop of oil in there. Note that not all fans have anything other than a sticker over the back end of the bearing assembly.

| Yarrh small thread hi-jack, I have just put a Evo 33 heatsink on my Asus SLI deluxe and in the bios my fan RPM is tottaly random it will go from 0-4000-3000-10-100-20 etc yet the fan to the eye isn't changing speed. However it is causeing the system to stop on boot due to the fan being too slow
