powering a fan w/ a hdd power plug

I recently read an article detailing how to power power supply fans from a hard drive power plug. I can't find the article, and i need to know which colored wires carry ground, 7v, and 12v. Thanks!

If the HDD power plug in question is a normal "Molex" 4-pin plug, the "pinout" is not complex. The Yellow wire is 12v, the Black wire next to it is the return to Ground for it. The Red wire is 5v, while the Black wire next to it is its return to Ground. 7v is obtained by connecting the Yellow and Red wires to the hardware you wish to power at 7v. In this case, the Yellow wire is Hot, while the Red wire is "Ground."

You can't draw much current when using the 7v setup. There's very little Amperage available!
