I saw that on their site...er...I was just in the neighborhood ya understand, price aside, a very enviable piece of gear.... but getting all your boxes close to use it could crimp some room setups...

Looks cool, would love to see some reviews on it.

It does look pretty sweet, seems more suited to DIY server type applications or extreme speed freaks than your average overclocker. I dont think the market for DIY watercooled racks is big though - I'd prefer to have a warranty .

I gotta agree, it's far too big to justify being used by your average enthuthiast - it's literally like having two computers.
So really, I think it will be for the extreme overclocker types.

bah. N2 is not practical for 24/7 uses....and I'm slowly starting to collect a farm that could benefit from such a unit.

That's a nice unit, but $1800 is a bit much, I think. However, it is a VERY intersting idea.

With 5 seperate loops dumping thier heat into the rad, a rad and pump, res, and such for each loop, as well as the enclosure, actually make this price more than reasonable. It would be better if the blocks were included, but $360 bucks for watercooling for one system ain't all that bad...the loop for my crossfire system cost almost $800!

For rack mount use, it simply doesn't have the heat capacity though. 3KW might sound a lot, but when you have racks that are running 7-12KW worth of heat output it isn't that much. There's no remote management interface and no power redundancy. Lose the single AC input and everything connected overheats. There isn't even any way to shutdown connected systems in the case of pressure loss or pump failure. Makes it difficult to see it worth $1800.

Throw in redundant power supplies, an embedded controller with network interface to provide management and host shutdown capabilities, together with monitoring on each of the circuits and it might be worth $1800.

Edit: it looks like it's a single overall loop for the radiator? Does that mean if there's a leak all circuits lose fluid?

been tempted to try the EXOS, for now, the 602's serve me well. I am a
little supprised at the cost of a watercooled ready case with no psu let
alone no cpu cooler. the choice of Lian Li cases, altho a great case, has
driven the price of a new one out of my budget.
