According to Custom PC, who conducted a similar test, but with more heatsinks and over both LGA775 and AM2 processors;

The best heatsinks for LGA775 are Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro and Cooler Master GemenII.

The best heatsinks for Socket AM2's are the Scythe Infinity and Zalman CNPS9700LED.

Looks like the Zalman seems to be as good as everyone says it is.

I'm thinking about buying it, but it's just so darn expensive. =(

Part of the reason the 9700 is so expensive is the included thermal paste. But at close to 100 bucks locally, this unit is clearly overpriced...but it performs. I have the nvidia LED unit tho, with a green LED...would love to swap it out for a blue one!
