Am2 H&f

Need suggestion for a good AM2 H&F (Athlon 64x2) . To be OC in extremis. Have a Zalman CNPS9500 from a previous build but it won't fit . Also have a A64 Freezer Pro. . Budget is up to $60.

I have a Freezer Pro, it didn't do very well so I am now using a Thermalright XP-90 with the revision "B" mounting bracket on my AM2 rig. It's a much better heatsink..

I was going to suggest the Thermalright....Seems like a nice part and a nice price.

Well, the budget for the H&F goes out the window. The Zalman CNPS9500 saids is compatible with socket 940 but I can't see how. AM2=940, yes? Looks like the freezer pro has to suffice by now.

By socket 940, they mean the older 940, not the AM2 version.

The freezer pro will be fine..

Looks like a mean CPU cooler with an impressive appearance. Nice choice.
