upgrade? sort-of - t.r.u.e

so i got myself one of those thermalright ultra extremes and what can i say, its not what everyone praises to me. it dropped temps by around 5-6 degrees. but i guess i expected more? i'm now from 40-43 to about 36-37. the only thing thats stopping me from being really mad is that i had to take off my rear case fan to put on the heatsink. so in a few days i'll buy some new and fancy fan for the heatsink and return the rear exhaust to its home. maybe that will make a difference? i sure hope so. and the fan attacher things suck i dont know if i did it right but i have the fan on it but it doesn't look or feel right. not worth the 60 or so dollars someone else paid for as a gift to me. i could have just gotten a zalman 9700 and not had to take my motherboard and everything else out of my case.

do you oc? what is the vcore?

I have one too. I used the zalman 7500 before, but the fan is crap and the ultra extreme with a 120mm fan @1k RPM cools better, is nearly silent and I can switch off the lights

If those are OC'd temps, maybe it's worth the hassle?

just got a new silverstone fan but it doesn't latch on with hook things from the true. so i need some zipties to go through the screw holes in the fan and through the fins on the heatsink. any one else think that the fan mounting system on the true sucks?
