| I was just wondering what you guys thought about this cooler as I'm thinking about getting it when I do my CPU cooler upgrade. Looks like it will cool my E6700 well enough that I'll have a stable 3.6Ghz OC without my temps getting high. | I don't know how effective this particular cooler is, but I can say for sure that the Thermaltake Big Typhoon VX is a great choice.

| So what you're saying is that Hight may be a problem with the center of gravity pulling it off to the side on the mobo and away from the CPU HS. It's got a backplate for it...and 3Dgameman rated it as Kickass! That's the only reason I was looking at it... ![]() Video review: 3dGameMan.com - #916 - Scythe NINJA Copper CPU Cooler

| I've got this HS. It's good, it's very tall. I wasn't able to fit a fan on the inside on the side panel, I had to move it to the outside. It's ugly, but I don't care. As far as sound goes, the rest of my comp sounds like a vacuum cleaner (thinking about getting that enermax with that 240mm fan) so I don't really know how loud it is. My AM2 version just uses the clips (Though it seems quite secure) that are on the socket. Having a backplate is good, though. It's a solid HSF, though, and I like it. I have no direct comparisons of the stock HSF compared to it since I went with it from the beginning, but it works for me.

| No, no. The removable side panel of my case. I have a 92mm fan that was on the inside, and it just barely touched the top of the scythe. So I just flipped it around so it was on the outside. No cutting involved. My case is a on the slim side and has a mobo tray that moves it about 3/4" away from the other side anyway, so it really isn't a big deal.
